Learn intro to blogging in six weeks with Colleen Lanin!
Learn about blogging as a platform for print media and books, to drive traffic to your business website, to earn income or other perks, or just for fun. This six-week course is designed for novice bloggers (more experienced writers are welcome as well) who want some help creating or improving a blog and building an audience.
This class will cover:
- Choosing the right name, niche, and theme for your blog
- Overview of technical aspects/options for a blog
- Blending the art of writing with search engine optimization
- Editing and inserting photos for blog posts
- Making money, platform-building, and other blogging perks
- Using social media to increase your blog’s success
By the end of the class, participants will have created a WordPress blog and will have written four blog posts with photos, links, and keywords.
Note: Students should feel very comfortable using a computer. Bringing a laptop to class is helpful but not required.
Colleen Lanin, MBA, is the author of “The Travel Mamas’ Guide” and the founder/editor of the popular blog, TravelMamas.com. As a freelance writer her articles have appeared online and in print for such publications as Parenting Magazine, Working Mother Magazine, the Chicago Tribune and more. Colleen gives travel tips on television, radio and as a paid speaker.
