So you have a terrific idea, but you don’t know how to turn this premise into a plot. In this one-day workshop, aimed at all levels of writers, we will discuss how to both devise and implement your novel’s narrative structure. We will primarily focus on the three-act structure, but we will also look at non-linear narratives and novels in linked stories. Exercises will be aimed at determining the larger arc of your story. Bring your notebooks (or laptops) and ideas!

She has received grants from the Sherwood Anderson Foundation, the Christopher Isherwood Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Maryland State Arts Council. She lives with her husband and their two daughters in San Diego, where she is also an aspiring photographer.
