05/18 Social Media Strategies for Writers with Indy
EXCITING NEW INSTRUCTOR!!!!
Popular Social Media venues such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, along with a blog, can play an indispensible role in the quest to grow your online presence. And one of the best times to start is—now.
Whether you have a work in progress, are just getting started in Social Media and feel overwhelmed, or have a book out there and are so immersed in this activity that you feel it is taking over your life—what you need is a game plan.
In this three hour workshop, we will:
•talk about your vision
•set goals that will help you achieve your vision
•give you tools and strategies to accomplish your goals.
And Indy will throw in some tips that will help you to be more efficient with your social media time.
Special Note: This is not a “how to” session for setting up Social Media venues. We’ll be discussing how to use and integrate your different venues effectively. But you don’t need to be using all (or any) of them to attend. This workshop will help you decide which ones you want to implement for your strategy.
You won’t need to bring a laptop. You’ll be working from supplied worksheets, which you will be taking home with you for later reference.
Besides being the founder and head crew chief at Media Fast Lanes, Indy Quillen is a novelist. Her most recent manuscript, Pursuit, is in New York with her agent and is currently being shopped to publishers.
In fact, it was while Indy researched how to use social media to market her writing that she discovered just how time consuming the process could be. How did writers keep an online presence and still have time to write? She realized that, having already done the work, she could fill a need for other writers—writers who know they need to learn more about social media, but don’t have the hours to devote to learning how use it effectively and time efficiently.
She hopes that in some small way, through this workshop, she can help you follow your dream.
