05/25 Creating Central Conflict with Ajani Brown
ESSENTIAL COURSE WITH NEW INSTRUCTOR!
“What happens next?” is the question that every writer faces. Through exposition and explanation, this class will assist students in the development of their narratives. Our focus will be to piece together an outline detailing each participant’s story arc, from beginning to end. To find the answer to the most pertinent question in fiction, we will utilize writing prompts, templates and open discussion to help extract internal and external conflict with regard to characters and setting. This writing workshop will involve a brief lecture and immerse the students in a nurturing environment to grow their respective stories.
Ajani Brown holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from San Diego State University. In addition to writing, he teaches English, Composition and English as a Second Language. He is a member of the online science fiction and fantasy writers’ workshop (sff.onlinewritingworkshop.com) and is a regular at regional writer’s conferences and comic book conventions.
