Making the best podcast you can make takes time and preparation. The goal of this two-session class is to give you the tools and understanding you need about the pre-production stage of making a podcast to make the rest of the process go smooth. This ranges everywhere from creating the right podcast format for your podcast baby to branding your podcast to planning ahead and scheduling guests and interviews.

This class will be a mix of lecture, in-class participation, and a short optional take-home project.

Adam Greenfield is a San Diego based podcast producer and writer. He is currently working with Voice of San Diego on a majority of their network of podcasts and has spent time creating several podcast series for MIT and the High Tech High school system here in San Diego. His personal podcasts, when time permits, are “Gutter Talk,” an interview style podcast with comic book creators, and “42 and Counting,” an autobiographical dive into what makes Adam and others like him tick.
Adam has also published a book of poetry, “Regarding the Monkey” (Puna Press, 2015), and hosts a monthly open-mic poetry night, Verbatim Poets Society, at Verbatim Books in North Park on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
