FireScribe is not for the faint of heart. These are sessions for women who know (or need to know) how to tell truth–their truth–from the depths, who understand that the journey requires progress to still be a journey, and who understand that the purest water comes from the deepest wells.
Stacy, your instructor on this project has been performing and writing poetry for over 25 years. Helping women put their words into the wind is part of her mission statement. She’s devoted her life to making sure that no voice goes unheard or stays ignorant of its grand potential.

Stacy Dyson is a Black female poet who explores, illustrates, and illuminates the history, self-image, philosophy, life and times of the Black woman. Ms Dyson has done one-woman shows in Oklahoma, Massachusetts, California, Nebraska, and all over Colorado. She has published six chapbooks and released five spoken word CDs. Her play FANNIE’S GIRLS: A 4-1-1 IN 5-PART ATTITUDE won the 2000 Colorado Women’s Playwriting Festival. Former Poet Laureate for Imagination Celebration (Colorado Springs) and the CEO/lead poet of DragonsWing,(Colorado) and Page to Stage:Women’s Voices (San Diego),she was also a 2009 Nominee for Poet Laureate for the State of Colorado. A featured performer for venues all over San Diego, she has also been a TEDx speaker. Future projects include a new album Follow Me On This and a new play, August 5000.
