SoulCollage® and Journal to the Self® are two profound expressive processes that, when combined, can provide guidance and encouragement for our creative selves. The power of joining therapeutic journal writing with the visual exploration of SoulCollage® can enhance insight and creativity. The emphasis of this class will be on embracing the New Year with optimism, grace, and energy.

In a comfortable, calm environment we’ll start with a guided meditation. Then we’ll honor our imagination and inner resources while enjoying verbal and visual self-expression in a small group of supportive people— sharing will be encouraged but is always optional.

The process of making SoulCollage® cards is simple, yet powerful. All art supplies are provided. After choosing and cutting out images from books and magazines, we glue them in creative ways to 5X8 matboard cards. Then, we “listen” to our cards through journaling, and gain self-understanding and guidance for moving forward in life.

Please bring to class:

1) Thoughts on a goal for a specific project, or an ongoing life challenge.

3) A notebook or journal, a pen you love to use, and (if possible) a few magazines to share for collage.

Many of us have allergies and sensitivities, so it’s requested that everyone refrain from wearing scented products to this class.
