NEW DATE!  So you’ve finally decided to write that novel you’ve been talking about for years?

This one day workshop will help you understand the process of writing a novel so you can get started putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). We will focus on everything from generating ideas to developing characters to devising your plot.

We will touch on many elements of fiction (dialogue, scene, etc…), but the emphasis will be on discovering the writing process that works best for you.

Tammy GreenwoodT. Greenwood is the author of eight novels. She has received grants from the Sherwood Anderson Foundation, the Christopher Isherwood Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and, most recently, the Maryland State Arts Council. TWO RIVERS was named Best General Fiction Book at the San Diego Book Awards in 2009, and GRACE won the same award in 2012. Five of her novels have been BookSense76/IndieBound picks. Her eighth novel, BODIES OF WATER, was released this fall.

She teaches creative writing at for San Diego Writer’s, Ink and online for The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, MD. She and her husband, Patrick, live in San Diego, CA with their two daughters. She is also an aspiring photographer.
