Directions from the freeways

  • From I-5 south, take the 10th Avenue exit and follow 10th to G St. Turn left and go to 13th, turn left.
  • From I-5 north, exit on the 19th St/J St. exit (to 94E) and bear left on 19th. Turn left on Market, go to 13th and turn right.
  • The 163 south becomes 10th Avenue. Turn left at G street and go to 13th, then turn left.
  • The 94 west becomes F Street. Turn left on 13th Street.

Parking
Metered parking on the street, especially along F or G Street, and on 14th. If you park in front of the building, be sure to get your parking ticket from one of the two parking consoles in front of the building.
Free parking after 6:00 pm. If you are attending a class or workshop evenings or weekends, you may park free in the Art Center Loft lot on the southwest corner of 13th & G. Put a note on your dash that says, "Writing Workshop, Studio 210." You may park in any of the vacant spaces EXCEPT #s 3, 5, 10, 11, 17, 25, 27, 38, 43 or 44.

Padre Home Games

  • In the event of a Padres home game, traffic can get a little snarly so you should allow extra time. The good news is that parking is not a problem, since there is no Petco Park parking at our lot. However, if you come to The Ink Spot via I-5 south or 163, you can run into traffic problems.

Alternate routes:

  • I-5 South, take the Pershing/B Street exit, which is one exit after 10th. Take the B St. lane and turn right at the stop sign (B St.), take the 2nd left on to Park Blvd, then the "forced" left onto C street. Next right is 13th Street, take it to 710 13th, or across G St. to the parking lot.
  • 163, we recommend not taking the 163 into downtown during a home game event. Instead, exit the 163 at University and take 6th Avenue to A Street, turn right and go to Park Blvd., turn R, then the "forced" left onto C street. Next right is 13th Street, take it 710 13th, or across G St. to the parking lot.
  • *NOTE: if you take the 15-S to the 163, stay on the 15 to the 94 West. The 94 W becomes F street. Turn left on 13th.
