What a day that was in August 2006 when we welcomed writers to our new center. We named this warm and friendly place the Semi-Permanent Ink Spot with the idea that it would be a good home "for now," and launched an ambitious program of classes, groups and workshops. We filled the space with readings and special events and invited writers and friends of writers to join us. The Semi-P, as we came to call it, was feeling more permanent all the time.

So, a year from the date we claimed the space, we've decided to make it our permanent home. As of August, 2007 our center will take the name, The Ink Spot.

Maintaining this space takes the enthusiastic and vigorous support of individuals who are committed to its success To that end, we're offering the opportunity for generous supporters to be a permanent part of The Ink Spot through participation in our Site Campaign.

We’ve created a library of books whose spines are emblazoned with the names of individuals who donate $100 or more. The books will be on display at The Ink Spot as lasting acknowledgements. Make your contribution today, ensure the ongoing success of The Ink Spot and reserve a place in the library for a book in your name. If you bought a book last year, we hope you'll buy another this year. Name it "volume II" or "the sequel" or give it as an honor gift or memorial to someone you want to remember. There's no limit to the number of books you can buy.
