Meet the newest member of the San Diego Writers, Ink crew, Susan Moon! Susan Moon is our administrative assistant, which means she organizes records and documents finances for SDWI. Originally from the Bay Area, Ms. Moon moved to SD in 2011. Her favorite book is The Portable by Henry Rollins. And in case you’re wondering, she does like dogs; her own miniature schnauzer is named Mozart.

What’s a passion project you are currently working on?

Music. I started playing the guitar in high school. Once I got the hang of a few chords, songwriting really became my passion.

What did you do before you joined San Diego Writers, Ink?

For several years I worked as a barista. Then I trained as a nursing assistant, and was a resident assistant at a drug rehab and alcohol treatment center. I currently work, in addition to San Diego Writers Ink, as a project manager for a small start up company.

Is there anything you’d like to tell the SD Writers, Ink family?

Thank you for this opportunity. I feel excited to be a part of this community! I’m looking forward to exploring what we have to offer and I hope I get the chance to get to know each and every one of you.
