This is the homepage for the Little Free Library located in the NTC at Liberty Station arts district. Sponsored and maintained by San Diego Writers, Ink, the Little Free Library is a free “leave a book, take a book” box located next to their building.

The Library can be found in front of 2730 Historic Decatur Rd., Barracks 16 (left hand side of the building in the planter next to Barracks 17:  2710 Historic Decatur Rd.). See the map.

It is inside the parking lot area for these buildings so in order to reach it, you should turn into the driveway for the Barracks section which includes San Diego Writers, Ink, the Women’s Museum of California, and a number of art galleries and other organizations.

Head to the far left of the parking lot where Barracks 16 and Barracks 17 sit.

There is plenty of free parking and a driveway area directly in front of it to pull up and use the library if  you don’t plan to stay long enough to park.

jeffrey-vaca-littlelibraryThe Little Free Library was established in NTC at Liberty Station in September of 2015.  The materials and labor were donated by Jeffrey Vaca, who designed and built the structure.

The Little Free Library is maintained and sponsored by San Diego Writers, Ink because writers always want to encourage readers.  We hope that the community will enjoy the free exchange of literature which will be facilitated by this new structure.

What Books Are In It?

Follow the Little Free Library on Facebook to see photos of the library, including weekly shots of the books currently offered through the library.  These books will change all of the time as books are removed and others are donated.  Feel free to donate your favorite books to the library!  Take a book, leave a book.  Share your books with others.
