Novel Autopsy– great new class!

The best way to learn to write is to read—not just for fun but critically, analytically; to dissect someone else’s writing to see how it works.

But you can’t learn what works unless you also learn what does not work. That’s what this two-part class is about. Rather than concentrating exclusively on writing that excels, you’ll study writing you can’t remember ten minutes after reading it…and writing you wish you couldn’t remember ten seconds after reading it.  What exactly are the differences?  And how does the knowledge apply to your work?

You’ll find out in Novel Autopsy. Don’t forget to scrub.

Mark A. Clements’ fourth published novel, The Land of Nod, won the first annual Theodore S. Geisel “Best of the Best” Award at the San Diego Book Awards. A passionate advocate of stretching one’s limits as a writer, Mark runs popular read and critique groups at various writer’s conferences throughout Southern California as well as a regular group at The Ink Spot.
