Ted Gideonse is back again to teach this popular class ! Don't miss it!
Good writing doesn’t just happen; it is the product of hard work, of criticism and of revision. And the workshop is one of the best ways both to elicit feedback and hone your editing skills. This class will be a workshop where we will critique the nonfiction (memoirs and essays) brought in by you and your classmates, discussing ways to improve the work and structure revision. This is a great opportunity for writers looking for feedback, needing deadlines, and yearning for a writing community.
Ted Gideonse is the co-editor, with his husband Rob Williams, of From Boys to Men: Gay Men Write About Growing Up, which was a finalist for 2006 Lambda Literary Award for Best Anthology. His writing has appeared in Newsweek, Salon.com, New York, Rolling Stone, Maisonneuve, The Advocate, Out, and the anthology of short stories Fresh Men 2. He has worked as a judge for Guinness World Records, a confetti technician, and a magazine editor, and he was the literary agent responsible for the #1 New York Times Bestseller, Bad Cat. A PhD candidate in anthropology at the University of California, San Diego, he lives in Azalea Park. |
