Zoe Ghahremani

Zoe Ghahremani is a reformed dentist who has finally seen the light. She published her first book – Comiserator in Persian – and has completed two novels, of which Sky of Red Poppies is currently being represented for publication. This literary fiction is based on true events in the life of her high school friend, who later became a political activist in Iran.

Zoe feels lucky to have found her utopia at SDWI, where she became a charter member and hopes to prove worthy of such honor. She continues to write with an accent and a sample of her words can be heard on the new CD among works of other First Friday writers. When words aren’t enough, Zoe expresses herself through her paintings. She has held several exhibits around San Diego and LA. Her free time is spent in a small rose garden where she has been trying to talk some sense to an army of snails for the past eight years.
