If you haven't written with us before, give us a try! Here's how it works: Given prompts, the writer will practice any and all types of writing whether it's fiction, memoir, journaling, letter writing, poetry or any mental meanderings. Each meeting is simply a time and a place to get your pen moving across the page, letting it take you where it will, free from editing or critique.
Just come prepared to write. No experience necessary.


Jill Hall is a creativity consultant, writer and artist. Her career as a public school educator spanned over twenty years. She facilitates groups and supports those who wish to find their creative paths. Jill is working on the second draft of a novel. jillghall@aol.com

Susan Burke is a retired academic librarian, and although she has authored over the years professional articles, encyclopedia essays and op-ed pieces, her real goal is to draft a comic novel. Originally from Frederick, MD and later from Baltimore, she traveled west to San Diego in 1998 and has never, even in a life rich in ambivalence and ambiguity, regretted the journey.
