Dime Stories Open Mic – San Diego's only Open Mic Prose Reading, renown for it's 3-minute readings and lively community of writers is held on the first Friday of each month. Bring a maximum of 3 minutes of prose, and show the world what you’ve got! Recordings are posted on the web at www.DimeStories.org.

Dime Stories: 3-minute stories. Some are fiction. All are true.

Amy Wallen is the author of Los Angeles Times bestselling novel, MoonPies and Movie Stars which will be released in paperback June 2008. Her third novel is to be published by Hyperion. She teaches novel writing courses at UCSD Extension, leads private workshops and offers individual coaching. Amy is an advisory board member for San Diego Writers, Ink. She's the host of Dime Stories Live, open mic prose readings held across the country, and coming soon: Dime Stories Live, an NPR radio program.
