A writer’s life involves both the quiet practice of creative discipline and the more hectic, aggressive activity of getting our work out in the world once it has sprung to life. This workshop addresses both aspects of the writing life, offering stimulating exercises to get the creative juices flowing and imaginative suggestions for marketing your creations for higher visibility and higher returns on your energy.

Jan Phillips’ experience as a publisher and editor (she co-founded the Syracuse Cultural Workers, publishers of socially responsible art) as well as an author and producer of books, videos, cards and posters has given her a wealth of information about publishing from the perspective of both the publisher and the entrepreneur. This workshop will be an inspiring and informative event incorporating stories, exercises, music and imagery that will move you forward on your creative path.
