Tom Spanbauer and Friends Reading
San Diego Writers, Ink is pleased to bring Tom Spanbauer back to The Ink Spot for another Dangerous Writing Workshop and Saturday evening reading. Tom is the award-winner author of four novels, an acclaimed writing teacher, and the founder of Dangerous Writing. Proceeds from this event allow SDWI to bring Tom to San Diego. In this special evening of reading and dialogue, Tom will be joined by Sage Ricci and three San Diego writers: Sandra Block, Andrew Printer, Justin Hudnall and Mark Tullius who will read from work they created in the Dangerous Writing Workshop.
Tom Spanbauer captivated the audience at SDW, Ink’s 2007 Authors & Art event in Balboa Park, and we’re delighted to bring him back twice a year to San Diego for an intensive three-day workshop and this special evening reading. Tom’s books will be available for purchase at the reading.
Praise for Tom’s most recent book, Now is the Hour:
“This author can write. You feel pulled in immediately just by the rhythms of his language. Then by his great humor, his vast heart. There is no one like Tom Spanbauer writing in America. I dare you to read this and still hold onto the old way you see the world. He turns things inside out, into a deeper ground of being. What a terrific novel! What a huge talent!” — Natalie Goldberg, author of Writing Down the Bones and The Great Failure.
